Barback: Cocktails2.2 - App Store

Barback is a serious cocktail app.

400+ hand-tuned recipes. A flavor-vector similarity engine that actually understands what tastes like what. An AI bartender that listens to plain English.
FEATURES

My Bar
Track every bottle, mixer, and garnish you own. The whole app reshapes around what you have at home. No account required. Your inventory lives on your device.

What Can I Make Tonight
Instant list of cocktails you can build right now with what is in your bar. Plus a "one ingredient away" view that shows exactly what to grab on the next store run to unlock more drinks.

AI Bartender
Ask in plain English. "Make this less sweet." "What pairs with steak?" "Invent something with mezcal and pineapple." "Suggest a non-alcoholic version." The bartender knows every recipe in the app and can recommend from the library, riff on the drink in front of you, or invent something new in our recipe format when nothing fits.

Vibe Discovery
Twelve flavor-vector chips on the Tonight tab: Smoky, Bright and Citrusy, Bitter Aperitivo, Floral, Tropical, and more. Tap one for a curated shelf. The chips rotate each launch so the feed stays fresh.

Similarity Engine
Every recipe has a twelve-dimension flavor vector. "If you liked the Negroni" is not guesswork. It is cosine similarity over real tasting notes. The app surfaces drinks that share DNA with the ones you love.

Menus and Batching
Building cocktails for a party of twelve? Build a menu and Barback consolidates every ingredient across drinks into one shopping list. Scale by serving count.

Clear Recipes
Every recipe shows ingredients with measurements, numbered method steps, glassware, technique, ABV estimate, and the drink's story. Readable while you are behind the bar with sticky hands.

Substitutions
Out of an ingredient? Pro unlocks Barback's substitution engine. Smart swaps ranked by how close they are to the original.

Pro (one-time upgrade, no subscription)
Unlocks My Bar editing, What Can I Make, custom recipes, the AI Bartender, menus and batching, the Flavor Wheel filter, and ingredient substitutions. Buy once. Yours forever.

PRIVACY

No account. No email. No tracking. Your inventory lives on your device. Bartender queries are routed through a server that authenticates your iPhone cryptographically using Apple App Attest, so we can rate-limit and ban abusive devices but cannot identify you. We do not store queries beyond short-lived operational logs.

ABOUT
